Scratches

We have a couple of scratches on the card with only one affecting the Claiming Crown.

In the 8th race, Ludmig, the 13 horse, has been scratched. Although not a prime contender in this race is does help clear out some of the traffic a bit. When you have a 14 horse field, any little bit is going to help. Additionally, he looked like a horse that needed to be on the lead and with the 13 post it was going to be very tough for him to get to that lead from way out there.

In the nightcap, a $7500 Claiming race for Minnesota-breds, scratch the 2, Tugfire.

We're about 45 minutes from 1st post. I'm going to take a lap around the building and see how the crowd is coming along and check out the 1st race horses in the paddock.

Keep in the mind, the first Claiming Crown race is the 3rd race on the card. We'll be starting with a $7500 State bred claiming race as well an $18,450 Quarter Horse starter allowance challenge. I can't give you any insight whatsoever on the Quarters. I wish I could, but all I can tell you is that they run straight, short and fast!
