Favored Joni's Justice gave up the lead twice, once heading into the stretch and once when it counted most, right at the wire to stablemate Sarahs Son. In a beautifully timed ride, Derek Bell nosed out the favorite after charging hard through the lane denying Dean Butler his third winner on the card. Trainer Mac Robertson, however, trained all three top finishers in the race in a masterful training performance.
