When Does a $7500N2L Claiming Race Become a Must See?

When it's the first race of the 2009 Canterbury meet!

I downloaded my past performances today for the races on Friday night this afternoon. It was quite a thrill! Well, thrill might be overstating it a bit, but it sure was nice to go on DFR on-line and see Canterbury Park among the entries. The first race, referenced in the title, is scheduled to go off at 7 PM Central Time. I hope that those of you in hailing distance will be able to make it to the races live. If you can't, please visit us at your favorite ADW site and join in the action.

I will be Tweeting live from the races on Friday night as well as live from the Upper Midwest Two Year Olds in Training Sale Saturday evening. The game plan this season is to also Tweet live from Fizzy's races during the season as well as big events like Minnesota Festival day and the 2009 Claiming Crown. We'll play it by ear and see how reaction is to the first few attempts this weekend, but reaction was good from Balmoral last time I tried Tweeting back in march, so I'm hopeful that it will be a continued success. If nothing else, it's fun to do!

I'm planning on watching and Blogging on the sale Saturday, not being an active participant. If there are folks out there that want to be more active in racing in Minnesota, Chicago or Florida (in the winter), please drop me a line and we can go from there. We're always on the lookout to introduce folks to the sport and, especially, to owning a piece of an equine athlete.

Enough of the commercial!! If you're near Shakopee this weekend (or even this summer for that matter), come on out to Canterbury Park and, as their current tag line says: "Live a little faster."
