The Minnesota Thoroughbred Association will be sponsoring a new owner seminar at Canterbury Park on Kentucky Derby Day, Saturday, May 7 at 11 AM. It'll be upstairs in the grandstand and cover ownership topics such as legal issues, financial considerations, partnerships, buying options, owner/trainer relationships, veterinary care and opportunities for second careers after racing. It's free to attend and I'll even be there to talk about partnerships - not soliciting, mind you, just to discuss the functionality of partnerships in general.
I hope to see you there. I'll be sticking around after the seminar (or maybe slipping away for a minute and seventeen or so seconds) to watch Tabby Lane face six others at Tampa Bay Downs in the second (preview to come later in the week). Stick around to wager on and watch the Derby while you there!
