Finding A Good Home

The summer of our discontent continues with word that One for Zetta (Ballado Chieftan/Zach's World) will not be heading to the races. It appears that she has no desire to lay herself out there for speed. She loves to exercise and will jog around the track the opposite way all day long. She looks lovely, is very nicely conformed and all who have exercised her say she has really nice action and is a smooth ride. Turn her around and try and push on her, however, and it's a completely different story.

Now we need to find her a home. This is a business so ideally we'd prefer to sell her than give her away and try and recoup a bare minimum of what we have in her. These days, though, selling a good horse with a proven record is difficult enough, try selling one that doesn't have a track record. That said, I'm not sure she's going to be sold as a racehorse. She may be a good hunter/jumper (experts say she has a great back leg) or a trail horse. Worst case scenario, though, and we will make sure she has a good home and not left to her own devices.

If you think you might be interested in a smart three year old filly to ride or retrain or know of anyone that might, please let them (or me!) know.

If it makes you feel better, an unraced, young TB is a hotter prospect in the H/J world than one that was a seasoned racer.

Good luck in getting her a good home. Is CANTER at Canterbury? They will list her for free for you. Make sure you comment on any markings, her height (big is good), and note that she's unraced and sound.
