A quick congratulations today to Bernell Rhone for going two for two yesterday at Tampa Bay Downs. In the second race, Payyourtax (Artax-Leslie's Beauty-Chief's Crown) sat in second early, took over before entering the stretch and opened up to a 5+ length win in a $5000 claiming event.
For an encore, Bernell's second starter of the day, old friend Onotheregoestokyo (Storm Creek-Beyond Imagination-Sauce Boat) laid far off the pace, came a runnin' down the stretch and just got a head in front of Cryptogram at the wire to win. It was a beautifully timed ride by Dean Butler over the turf course. The race was a $16,000 Starter Allowance, the same type of race we're pointing Fizzy toward near the end of February.
For those of you who like to place a wager or two, Bernell had a terrific ROI on the day with the two chalking up win mutuels of $12.60 and $20.80 respectively.
I hope later in the Spring we can have a double of Fizzy Pop and Miss Belle Express either at Tampa or Canterbury (If I HAD to, I'd settle for both!).
Congratulations to Bernell, Cindy and all the connections of Tax and Tokyo!

Yes, the Fizzster and Missy in the Double. That would be enough to get a Coronet Coup started up in time!
